Fragment of a shabti;, Head of a shabti figurine with carefully rendered facial features. Celadon glaze. Mummy-shaped funerary figurine shabti. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC. Found at El-Kantara. Height 2.4 cm., A small sculpted fragment of a human head shown in profile with visible facial features including a nose, closed eye, and rounded cheek, with a partially eroded rear section exposing a rough, porous interior; the outer surface is smooth and glazed in shades of pale blue and green with some areas of lighter cream and beige where the glaze is worn, while the exposed interior is a coarse, sandy beige; the background is a uniform gray.
