Fragment of a shabti; mummy-shaped funerary figurine. Head of a shabti figurine with carefully rendered facial features. Celadon glaze. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC. From El-Kantara. Shabti; height 2.4 cm., A small sculpted head with a rounded top and simplified facial features, shown against a plain gray background; the object is primarily a pale bluish-green with areas of lighter and darker bluish tones and small patches of beige and brown, with a smoother sheen on the rounded scalp and a slightly rougher texture on the lower face, visible eye sockets, a subtle nose, and an eroded mouth area.
