Fragment of a shabti, Mummy-shaped figurine, grave good, hoe held in hands. Upper part preserved to the beginning of the thighs. Smooth tripartite wig, back pillar at the back. Facial features carelessly rendered. Celadon glaze. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC; El-Kantara. Shabti, height 7.8 cm., A slender vertical sculpture of a standing human figure shown in profile, mounted on a small rectangular base; the upper portion of the figure has a textured, weathered surface with greenish and pale blue tones mixed with areas of brown and beige, while the lower portion and base display smoother surfaces in warm tan and light brown shades; the background is a uniform mid-gray.
