Fragment of a shabti. Head of a shabti figurine with not very carefully rendered facial features, in a smooth wig and with a thin beard not connected to the neck. Celadon glaze. 332–30 BC; Ptolemaic Period. El-Kantara. Shabti, height 2.5 cm., A small sculpted head fragment with a rounded top and stylized facial features, rendered in a pale greenish hue with areas of beige and brown discoloration; the surface shows pitting and rough texture, especially around the nose and lower jaw where some erosion has exposed a sandy, pinkish-beige interior; the left and right sides of the head have irregular chipped areas with a mix of green, beige, and pinkish tones; the background is a uniform medium gray.
