Fragment of a shabti, grave goods, wigs. Face of a shabti figurine with carefully rendered facial features, with the beginning of a smooth wig visible above the forehead. Bluish glaze. 332–30 BC Ptolemaic Period, El-Kantara, shabti, height 2.2 cm, A worn sculpted head with a rounded shape, showing a few surface cracks and chips, rendered mainly in pale turquoise with patches of light beige where material is missing, subtle darker speckles across the surface, faintly defined eye sockets, a suggestion of a nose and mouth, and an overall matte textured appearance against a solid gray background.
