Fragment of a shabti; head of a shabti figurine with carefully rendered facial features, in a smooth wig, with a thin beard. Celadon glaze. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC; El-Kantara. Shabti, height 2.5 cm., A small sculpted head shown in profile with a smooth rounded top and a defined forehead, brow ridge, nose, lips, chin, and a stylized hairstyle that falls down the back of the head, all rendered in a weathered pale green with areas of light blue and touches of beige and tan where the surface is worn, set against a plain medium-gray background.
