Fragment of a shabti. Head of a shabti figurine with carefully rendered facial features, in a smooth wig. Celadon glaze. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC. Found at El-Kantara. Shabti; height 2.4 cm., A small irregular object with a rough textured surface, showing a combination of pale turquoise, light blue, beige, tan, and off-white colors, with areas that appear worn and slightly glossy; the object has rounded and jagged contours, a bulbous tan section partially enclosed by flaking turquoise-blue layers, and a few small pits and cracks visible across its surface.
