Fragment of a shabti; head of a shabti figurine with carefully rendered facial features in a smooth wig. Celadon glaze. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC. Found at El-Kantara. Shabti; height 2.4 cm., A small irregular fragment of a hard material with a worn, rough surface in shades of pale turquoise and light blue, with areas of darker blue spots and a few tiny dark brown specks; the top edge shows exposed beige and tan inner material, and the lower edge reveals a rough, sandy brown interior; there are traces of faint pinkish spots and a small patch of yellow near the top, set against a plain gray background.
