Fragment of a shabti;, Head of a shabti figurine with indistinct facial features, in a smooth wig. Celadon glaze. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC. Found at El-Kantara. Shabti; height 2.3 cm., A worn small sculpted head shown in profile against a plain gray background, with a rounded top and a simplified facial outline including a protruding nose and a small recessed eye; the surface appears rough and pitted with areas of pale beige and light blue-green patina, and a vertical strip of reddish pigment along the rear edge.
