Below the neck, a zigzag band painted in white, adorned with a diagonal black check motif. Below, a strip of vertical lines painted alternately with black and white paint, framed at the top and bottom by double black stripes. LRO type item. Nile clay, low porosity, with distinct golden mica flakes. 6th century, Egypt, vessel; height 17.5 cm, width 11 cm body, diameter 8 cm outer rim., A round, shallow terracotta object with a central hole sits against a plain gray background; the object shows worn painted patterns in shades of brown, orange, and black with areas of lighter beige and faded white, and a ring of alternating dark and light shapes around its rim, while the central area has crosshatched and irregular decorative marks and patches where the surface appears rubbed or chipped.
