Low, wide, annular foot; belly walls widely flared at the bottom, bent inward at approximately one-third of the vessel; neck reflected. Decoration painted in black and white, banded. Below the neck, a zigzag band painted in white, adorned with a diagonal black check motif; below, a strip of vertical lines painted alternately with black and white paint, framed at the top and bottom by double black stripes. LRO type item. Nile clay, low porosity, with distinct golden mica flakes. 6th century, Egypt; vessel. Height 17.5 cm; width 11 cm body; diameter 8 cm outer rim., A rounded ceramic vessel with a narrow mouth and a flared foot sits centered against a plain gray background; the vessel shows an overall earthy terracotta color with worn patches and a weathered surface, decorated with darker brown to black painted bands and vertical strokes around its midsection and upper area, and lighter beige areas where the surface is abraded.
