Euphemia's Epitaph, Greek inscriptions, tombstone inscription. Preserved central fragment of a white marble slab; top and bottom chipped but inscription intact. In the center a large cross with almost equal arms widening at the ends; inscription placed between the arms. Rounded letters between marked thin lines; letter height 1.5–2.1 cm, average line spacing 0.2 cm. Inscription from Bithynia or Constantinople. 6th–7th century, Asia Minor. Greek inscription, epitaph stele. Height 15.0 cm, width 20.5 cm, depth 3.2 cm., A roughly rectangular pale stone slab with a textured, uneven surface and rough, chipped edges against a gray background; the slab shows shades of off-white, cream, beige, and a few light brown spots, with a small area of darker brown near the top and some shadowed grayish crevices along the sides.
