Epitaph of Gennadii, inscriptions, Greek inscriptions, tombstone in fine-crystalline blue-gray marble. The lower edge of the slab is chipped; the preserved part is cracked transversely halfway up. In the upper part, above the inscription, three Maltese crosses are arranged symmetrically. Inscription in five lines, rounded letters, 1.5β2.0 cm high, average line spacing 2.5 cm. 6thβ7th century, Constantinople, Byzantine Empire 476β1453. Greek inscription, epitaph. Dimensions: height 29.5 cm, width 29.5 cm, depth 2.0 cm., A roughly square, flat slab with an uneven, slightly chipped edge resting against a solid gray background; the slab surface shows a weathered, mottled texture with areas of pale beige, off-white, light tan, and faint gray, appearing worn and slightly stained, with a visible horizontal crack and a few darker smudges and spots scattered across it.
