Terracotta figurine of Psyche, Young Psyche with butterfly wings, wrapped in a chlamys. Right hand rests on the chest, left hand rests along the body. Long hair falling on the shoulders arranged in curls. Head turned to the left. Figurine placed on a rectangular base. 332–30 BC; Hellenistic period. Origin: Tanagra Greece. Figurine. Height 10.8 cm, width 7.5 cm, depth 3 cm., A weathered small statue of a standing figure with a rough textured surface, shown from the back, with a pair of large wing-like extensions rising upward from the shoulders; the figure has a short, rounded head and loosely draped clothing that hangs to the base, creating folds and irregular contours. The object rests on a rectangular plinth with a slightly rounded top edge and a worn appearance. The visible colors are muted beige and off-white tones with areas of pale pink and faint gray-green patina, and small darker brownish spots. The background is a uniform medium gray.
