Terracotta figurine of a girl throwing dice. Figurine of a crouching girl throwing dice: weight of the body rests on the left leg, bent at a right angle. The girl wears a long, finely pleated, sleeveless chiton. Hair tied in a bun with a wide headband kredemnos. Earring visible in left ear. Entire figurine rests on a rectangular base. Preservation: missing the right arm; glued in several places head, left arm from 2 fragments, robe, base from 3 fragments. Part of the base filled with clay and plaster. 4th–3rd century BC, Tanagra Greece. Terracotta figurine, height 13 cm, width 9 cm, depth 4.5 cm., A weathered carved figure viewed from the side, showing a textured surface with visible grooves and cracks; the figure has a rounded head with a coiled or knotted element on top and a neck and shoulder area leading into a draped, ribbed garment that folds over a bent limb and forms a rounded, shell-like shape at the front. The sculpture rests on a rectangular base and has a hollowed cavity visible on the side of the torso. The visible colors include beige, off-white, tan, light brown, gray, and small areas of muted reddish-brown, set against a neutral gray background.
