Elias van Nijmegen, Naomi, Ruth and Orpa, wallpaper painting painting linen oil paint, Elimelech and Naomi flee with their two sons during famine of Judah to Moab. Elimelech dies in Moab and then the sons marry Moabite women: Ruth and Orpa. After while the sons also die widow Naomi remains with two wretched childless daughters-in-law and decides to go back to Judah. On her way to Judah she wants to send the daughters-in-law back to Moab their own country in the hope that they will marry there and still have children. Orpa obeys her mother-in-law and goes back. Ruth, on the other hand, goes with her mother-in-law to Judah. There she will eventually marry Boaz from which marriage Obed is born the father of Isai and thus the grandfather of David.
