Bottom rounded funnel-shaped chalice with thick bottom and fire-rounded edge St. Cosmus et St. Damianus (engraved top of chalice) Rotterdam heraldry medical care serving drinking Made for and in use at the Rotterdam Surgeons Guild. Cosmas and Damian are the patron patterns of the surgeons; the city coat of arms indicates that the glass served as an official institution
