A certain cabinet junto, en sanguine engraving 1775, King George III, speechless (his caption balloon is empty), seated on the right in a high-backed chair at a table, with Lord North seated opposite presenting a paper to the King that states for the total abolition of Civil & Religs liberty in America and says, This will quell the rebels; standing behind the table is a man wearing clerical robes who adds, America is within the realm; and a man, probably Lord Bute, wearing a tam o'shanter, is standing behind the King's chair. A female figure is seated at the far left, holding a staff topped with a liberty cap, at her feet are a bow and a quiver of arrows, and Britannia's shield; she speaks toward the heavens Lord thou didst drive out the heathen before us, our hope is in thee, to which a reply issues from the clouds above, I have delivered and I will deliver.
