Spain: Portrait of Buenaventura Durruti (14 July 1896 - 20 November 1936), anarcho-syndicalist, to mark the anniversary of his death, 1937. José Buenaventura Durruti Dumange was a central figure of Spanish anarchism during the period leading up to and including the Spanish Civil War. Anarchism has historically gained more support and influence in Spain than anywhere else, especially before Francisco Franco's victory in the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939.
