Josephine BAKER (06/03/1906 - 04/12/1975), born as: Freda Josephine McDONALD), American French singer, dancer and actress, in conversation with the founder and head of the Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA) Basil DEAN. The ENSA organized troop support for the British troops in the Second World War. They agreed that Josephine BAKER would tour North Africa, the Middle East and Great Britain from 1943 onwards to look after British troops. Unknown location, July 1, 1943.
