The power-house: inside the high-tension chamber at the Brunswick Mill, Ancoats, 1909. 'The Brunswick Mill is driven from the electric mains of the Manchester Corporation by means of Three Phase motors, working on 400-415 volts supply at a frequency of fifty cycles per second. There are in all thirty-seven motors, aggregating 1639 ½ b.h.p.' Premises of Henry Bannerman and Sons, cotton spinners and manufacturers. From "Illustrated London News", 1909.
