Courtyard of the Öküz Mehmed Pasha Caravanserai, Kusadasi, Turkey, c1955. The caravanserai, constructed between 1615 and 1618, was commissioned by Öküz Mehmed Pasha, who served as Governor of Ottoman Egypt and Grand Vizier. It was built in the form of a fortress and was also used as customshouse. It is now a hotel.
