Innholder's Hall, c1884. Headquarters of a livery company in the City of London. 'The Hall was rebuilt soon after the Great Fire'. Description by Alfred Marks. The doorway of Innholder's Hall has changed very little since it was rebuilt in 1670. Marks may have published [an image] of the Hall doorway, as, in 1884, the future of the Livery Companies was in debate, a Royal Commission having been convened to examine their privileges and wealth. The coat of arms is formed of a shield is supported by two horses, with the star of Bethlehem above.
