Saint James the Apostle, before 1489. The full-length figure, seated on a stone throne before the central brocade tapestry, is set within a niche-like interior, its upper section crowned by a lobed Gothic tracery decoration. The rich attire, such as the pearls at the neckline, and the facial features, similar to those of Christ, would hinder his identification were it not for the fact that he carries his usual attributes: the staff and the hat with the scallop shell, while in his left hand he holds an open book.
