The Annunciation, c1445. Panel of a polyptych with scenes from the life of the Virgin. Mary, wearing a blue mantle and tunic, is interrupted in her reading of sacred texts by the appearance of the angel of the salutation, toward whom, moved, she turns her head and body. Over his white tunic, Gabriel wears a rich cope.
