Saint Louis, bishop, in Glory, 1693. The Flemish influence of Rubens is obvious. The child angel that appears at the Saint's feet, with his face half-hidden by the cope, comes from Van Dyck and has been used on multiple occasions by other Madrid artists, but the robust young man who seems to hold the cloud-like rock on which the Saint stands, already shows its unequivocal origin from Luca Giordano.
