The Royal Palace of Brussels, 1627. Alternative title: The Palace of Coudenberg. In the foreground people relax by the water's edge. At the time this painting was created, Coudenberg Palace was the seat of the court of Archdukes Albert and Isabella Clara Eugenia in Brussels. The palace was completely destroyed in an accidental fire in 1731.
