Légende
Stonehenge, Wiltshire, c1955. Stonehenge is a prehistoric megalithic structure on Salisbury Plain, constructed in several phases beginning about 3100 BCE. The famous circle of large sarsen stones was placed between 2600 BCE and 2400 BCE. The whole monument, now in ruins, is aligned towards the sunrise on the summer solstice and sunset on the winter solstice. Public access to the stones is now restricted by English Heritage to four times a year: at the summer and winter solstices, and at the spring and autumn equinoxes.
