Cast of head of Roman man wearing wreath. Because it wears a wreath, the head belongs to a figure who attends a sacrifical ceremony. Cast made from sculptural detail on the Column of Trajan in Rome, completed in 113 AD/CE. The column is most famous for its spiral bas relief, which depicts the wars between the Romans and Dacians.
