Crowds watching the coronation procession of Queen Elizabeth II, Oxford Street, London, 2 June 1953. Spectators and police, in waterproofs against the rain, watch military marching bands passing Lilley & Skinner's shoeshop on the corner of Stratford Place. People occupy windows, balconies and specially built grandstands. Special decorations have been erected, and even the traffic lights have been painted red, white and blue. Selfridges in the distance.
