In June, exasperated with the situation and under pressure from the British to resolve it, Michael Collins, leader of the Provisional Government of the Irish Free State, ordered the artillery bombardment of the Four Courts. A print from "King Emperor's Jubilee, 1910-1935", by F G H Salusbury, Daily Express Publications, London, 1935. (Colorised black and white print).
