Bronze statue of Martin Luther next to the Marienkirche, (St Mary's Church), Berlin, Germany, (Detail), 2025. Martin Luther, (1483-1546), German theologian and Augustinian friar is depicted holding an open Bible, touching one of its pages. It was originally the central figure of a large monument which was destroyed in 1945. Created by Paul Martin Otto, (1846-1893) and Robert Toberentz, (1849-1895) in 1895.
