The Muse Inspiring the Poet, 1909. Double portrait of Guillaume Apollinaire and mistress Marie Laurencin. The artwork depicts two figures standing in a lush forest setting. She is adorned in a long, flowing gown and wears a necklace, emanating an ethereal quality.
