Leonhardskirche and Saalhof, Frankfurt am Main, mid-late 19th century. The Leonhardskirche (St. Leonard 's Church) is a Roman Catholic church, originally built in 1219 as a late Romanesque basilica and later remodelled in the Gothic style. The Saalhof is the oldest conserved building in the Altstadt district and dates to the 12th century. It was used as an exhibition hall by Dutch clothiers when trade fairs were held during the 14th and 15th centuries.
