Advertisement for Luxardo's Maraschino di Zara, the King of all Liqueurs, 1895. 'London Agent: E. VITALI, Winchester St., E.C.' The firm was founded in 1821 by Girolamo Luxardo in the Zadar, Kingdom of Dalmatia. Luxardo had moved to Zadar (historically known as Zara) with his family in 1817, as the consular representative of the Kingdom of Sardinia. From "Illustrated London News", 1895.
