Advertisement for Pears' Soap, 1895. 'THE BATH. - His turn next! From the original in the possession of the Proprietors of PEARS' SOAP'. Engraving of a painting depicting children with a puppy - the scene includes a bar of soap inscribed 'PEARS'. There is no record of the original painting being shown at any public exhibitions, so it was probably painted specifically as an advertisement. From "Illustrated London News", 1895.
