The War in Eastern Asia: Chefoo, looking towards the sea, 1895. 'From a sketch by a German correspondent. The Japanese have taken possession of the arsenal, forts, and war-ships at Wei-hai-Wei with the order and method which have distinguished them on previous occasions...There is, it is stated, no intention on the part of the Japanese to occupy Chefoo.
