Hernán Cortés' fleet leaving the port of Santiago de Cuba, 18th November 1518 (1771). Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar (1465-1524) had the intention of ceasing Hernán Cortés. In anticipation of this punishment Hernán Cortés' fleet left the port of Santiago de Cuba n haste.
