Scene depicting the legend of the Bell of Huesca, or Legend of the Monk King, 12th, century, (1889). Ramiro II of Aragon, the Monk (1086-1157), King of Aragon (1134-1157) decapitated all the noblemen who had dared to challenge his royal power. After the painting by Casado del Alisal.
