Advertisement for Elliman's Universal Embrocation, 1890. A man rushes forward with a bottle of muscle rub for an injured rider who has fallen from his horse. '"'ERE YE ARE! THERE'S NOUGHT LIKE ELLIMAN'S FOR YOUR BRUISES!"...ACHES and PAINS...Rheumatism...Lumbago...Sprains...Cuts...Bruises...Sore Throat from Colds...Stiffness...HUMAN USE'. Elliman's sold two products - 'Universal Embrocation' for humans, and 'Royal Embrocation' for animals - but there was supposedly no difference between the two, apart from the packaging.
