Jack Bain worked for the Bank of Australasia and worked in many branches over his career from the 1920s to his retirement in 1966. Crows Nest, which, in the Cooyar dialect means a general crossing place. Crows Nest was established on Dalla lands and declared a town in 1876. This building was damaged by fire, 30 May, 1949.
