'Attentive husbands may assist their wives in purchasing, at the end of next week, in the shops of the local poulterer, butcher, or fishmonger, materials for the Christmas feast. This idea has been exemplified by our Artist...The lady and gentleman have alighted from their private carriage at the door of one of the best shops in town, where she is giving orders to a respectful tradesman for sending her the very finest of Christmas turkeys, with a view to their intended dinner party at the Hall'.
