Luther disguised as "Junker George," in his seclusion at the castle of the Wartburg - bearded and long-haired, in his disguise as a layman [or knight], bearing the assumed named of "Junker George," during his concealment at the Wartburg. (Lutheras in Pathmo). Medal [or coin] of the Elector Frederick of Saxony - his resolute protector. Luther lying in state after death. (From an old Engraving). Memorial Medal of Melancthon...These and other medals in the collection have a value, for numismatists, apart from their historic interest, since they are among the earliest known specimens of German medallic art...One of the old Engravings, represents the body lying in the chamber where he died'.
