Portrait of Adam Kirkor, 1860. Used the pen name Jan z Sliwina. In the years 1834-1866 he was associated with Vilnius, where as an editor, publisher, and from 1859 the owner of a printing house, he played a significant role in the scientific and artistic community. After 1870, he settled in Kraków. He was a member of the Krakow Scientific Society. He conducted archaeological excavations in Kwaczala, Libiaz and Bobrek. Waclawa Milewska
