Saint Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy, c1750. Mary Magdalene in a grotto staggering from exhaustion, leaning against a stone on which lies an open book, a cross and a vessel of ointment, a customary attribute of the saint, as well as the long hair covering her. Behind Mary Magdalene there is an angel supporting her by the shoulders. The picture is probably a preparatory sketch for a larger altar painting.
