Légende

Church in Italy, 1870-1880. It has straight-ahead structure, three-axis façade with two embedded columns. This effect was most likely created by bricking up a much older portico, so it is probably a transformed ancient building. The capitals of the columns represent the Roman variety of the Corinthian (composite) order - they support a low entablature with an architrave and a cymatium decorated with an ox-eye ornament (astragalus shaded above). At the left edge of the façade there is a corner pilaster (so-called anta) with a fluted shaft, having no equivalent on the right (where only a solution similar to a lesene with a recess). Above are visible areas of a recessed roof with tiles and an octagonal tambour of a pseudo-dome with window blinds, covered with a flattened pyramidal roof, above which is a dome with a cross confirming the function of the building.
