'The Rear Guard; Profit and Pleasure; Enlisted and Not Enlisted; We're Not Naval Volunteers...The Easter Monday field manoeuvres and parade of the Metropolitan Volunteer Corps were favoured with very fine weather, bright and sunny, with a bracing easterly wind, but not too cold,'.
