Transfer of Manuel Godoy to the castle of Villaviciosa de Odón in Spain, April 2, 1808, (1851). Manuel Godoy (1767-1851) was taken prisoner after the Mutiny of Aranjuez. The former Prime Minister of Charles IV, Godoy became a prisoner of the new King Ferdinand VII of Spain. On 2 April 1808 he was transferred, still under the custody of the Marquis of Castelar, captain of Halberdiers Company, to the castle of Villaviciosa de Odón.
