Légende
The Ship Columbus, 1826. The Columbus was a disposable ship built in Quebec in 1824 to transport timber from British North America to the United Kingdom. She was intended to be dismantled upon arrival and her considerable structure sold, thus avoiding an import duty on timber cargoes. Page 99 of "London Lions for Country Cousins ... A display of metropolitan improvements, the new streets, new bridges, new churches, etc. ... Second edition" by Horace Wellbeloved, 1826.
