The Civil War in Spain: casemate in the battery of San Lorenzo, 1874. 'The main force of the Carlists is still in the neighbourhood of Bilbao, where severe skirmishes took place at the beginning of this week. Some additional sketches by our Special Artist at the head-quarters of the Spanish National Army (often mentioned as Republican) show the positions held by the combatants in the recent fighting...There is also here a sketch of its casemate, or bombproof covered place for the abode of the artillery officer in command'.
